a fat man in a striped sweater
He isn't ugly, if I can recall. Catherine was complaining how he looks like a normal boy, but inside he is all messed up.
Yes there is another book after the Off Season. It is called Front and center. Front and Center is the last book but look out because catherine murdock is thinking of writing another book about D.J wilson. Hope she does! ♥
The Devil in disguise. 'Nuff said.
Catherine is a girl who wants everything to be her way. She does not like the rule that girl can't marry whomever they want. She also doesn't want to do chores, and she gets angry very easily. For instance the privy incident when she burnt it down with the suitor inside. She was like this throughout most of the entire book. Then she changed. At the end she knew that marrying whoever her father said was the rules. She then soon learned to like herself for the way she was. As Madame Joanna said, you are like a little bird you have wings but you need to master them. When Catherine changed so did the story. Catherine took the money from Shaggy Beard which meant she had to marry him. Then, he died in a brawl so she could marry Steven. It was a happy ending for Catherine.
It is a rules but in the other side
In the book "Rules" by Cynthia Lord, Catherine is described as a twelve-year-old girl with light brown hair and a gap between her front teeth. She has a younger brother with autism named David, and the story follows her experiences navigating friendships, family dynamics, and understanding her own feelings.
They look like whirligigs.

It depends on what holy book you are referring to.There are many. The Bible for instance is usually plain bound in black/blue/red, sometimes with the legend 'The Holy Bible' on the cover & along the spine. There are no rules to this though.
