Airways - Tilt the casuals head back a little bit and use pistol grip to open their mouth look in the mouth and make sure nothing is blocking their airways if so try and get it out.
Breathing - if you have got it out or there was nothing in their mouth and they are breathing then stop and reassure them till the ambulance arrive, but if they do not seem to be breathing LFS (Listen to their mouth if you can hear and Feel them breathing whilst doing that watch their stomach to See if they are breathing; if they are breathing then stop and reassure them till the ambulance arrive if not finish then Compressions.
Compressions - 30:2 which means 30 compressions to 2 breaths; keep going until the ambulance arrives.
Defibrillator - you are NOT to do this unless you are a trained paramedic; otherwise allow the trained professionals do this step; you have done all you can.
The S in DRS ABCD stands for Send for Help. It is important this is done promptly. Otherwise, no backup is available should the patient deteriorate or worsen.
Call for an ambulance prior to starting any treatment. You can call for help while doing treatment by switching to speaker phone or by instructing a bystander to do so.
