The Earth's magnetic Field acts as a shield to protect the earth from dangerous charged particles from the sun and other sources. It does this by deflection the particles and or trapping them outside of the atmosphere of earth.

Does the gravitational field protect us from the sun?

No, the gravitational field keeps us in orbit around the sun. The earths magnetic field provides us with some protection from charged particles from the sun.

Why is the earths magnetic field is important because it?

It's important because it protects us from the suns radiation.

What is earth's barrier against sun?

we have the ozone layer that that acts as a barrier of the earth, ozone layer protects us from harmful effect of ultraviolet light...and the other barrier is what we call the earths magnetic field of magnetosphere which protect us from the sun's solar burst....

How do you make a sentence for magnetic field?

The magnetic field of the Earth protects us from cosmic radiation.

What causes the earth's modest magnetic field?

Our magnetic field is caused mostly by our substantial core of molten iron. The field may be modest by some measurements, but we would probably not exist without it. It is sufficient to protect us from some harmful particle emissions from the sun.

How do magnetic poles protect us?

orbit

What does the relative density of lines of a magnetic field tell us about the strength of the field?

The closer the lines the stronger the magnetic field.

How does the earths magnetic field protect us from the sun's radiation?

It doesn't The 'Ozone Layer' does, this is a layer of 03(subscript 3) which is above the troposphere and works by maintaining an equilibrium with its conversion to 02(subscript 2) and by deflecting ultra-violet radiation and filtering out short-wave radiation.

What are two things that protect the earth from the sun?

The earths atmosphere and the earths magnetic field.

How does the earths magnetic field influence us on earth?

Directly : not at all. BUT It deflects the solar wind, thus the radiation levels on the Earth's surface is compatible with life; and there's still enough air for us to breath.
