Joseph
I presume it was before. Zoser was supposed to live in the thrid millennium BC, Joseph in the second
a man called Zak Effron
The account of Joseph's life can be found at (Genesis 37:1-41:49). Because of jealousy, he was sold into slavery by his own brothers and falsely imprisoned by the wife of Potiphar. Though difficult to endure, these experiences turned out to be God's will and an ultimate benefit for not only Joseph, but the whole nation of Israel. Joseph got out of prison by remaining obedient to God, even under these stressful circumstances. While wrongfully imprisoned, Joseph correctly interpreted dreams for Pharaoh's servants (Genesis 41:9-13), and then for Pharaoh himself (Genesis 41:14-36) leading to Pharaoh making him second in command in Egypt.(Genesis 41:37-46)
Joseph became Osarseph under Sesostris III. He welcomed his family, Jacob and 70 persons! Sesostis III was the father of Amenemhet III his successor.
The Pharaoh during Joseph's time in ancient Egypt was believed to be Pharaoh Amenemhat III.
The Pharaoh during Joseph's time in Egypt was likely Pharaoh Amenemhat III, who ruled during the Middle Kingdom period.
In the Biblical account, Pharaoh delegates part of his own authority and power to Joseph. Joseph is clearly an important man, but he's still subject to Pharaoh.
Joseph the son of Jacob , interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh.
God gave Joseph the ability to interpret the Pharaoh's dream, which gained him favor with the Pharaoh. The story is found in Genesis 41.
A:The Book of Genesis says that Joseph was an interpreter of dreams and second in charge to the pharaoh, but not actually pharaoh himself. The scholarly answer is that he was not a real person: it is just a story.
In-the book of Genesis chapter verse 45 the name of the pharaoh was pharaoh.
I do not believe there is any reliable source of information that names the pharaoh of Egypt when the man known as Joseph was in Egypt.
After the death of Joseph, a new pharaoh came to power in Egypt who did not know Joseph. This new pharaoh oppressed the Israelites and enslaved them, setting the stage for the events recounted in the book of Exodus.
Joseph was in prison in Egypt, and the Pharaohs cup bearer and the baker were in prison with him, Joseph interpreted their dreams, one was hanged and the other was freed. Later Pharaoh had a dream, and Joseph interpreted the dream, pharaoh was glad . And in Genesis chapter 40 it says Joseph was made ruler over Egypt.
The name Joseph is Hebrew. The Pharaoh did not give Joseph a Hebrew name, he gave him an Egyptian name, which was Zaphnathpaaneah. Genesis 41:45 And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.
