In Germany we call someone a Stoffel who doesn´t recognize that he is doing something in a way which isn´t "normal". Think about this situation: You are in a restaurant. The waiter is taking everything away from the tables, because he wants to close. This person would sit there and wouldn´t care about the things which are going on around him... we would call such a person a Stoffel.
