What does TX and RX stand for?
They are abbreviations for Transmit and Receive, respectively.
RX nd TX refers to the radio frequencies the phone uses to receive and transmit voice calls. A mobile phone is essentially two 'walkie-talkies' operating at the same time - so you can talk and hear simultaneously. The handset transmits (TX) on one frequency, and receives (RX) on a different frequency.
If your smart jack has the Tx light blinking green and the Rx light is not illuminated what can you conclude about the problem?

The Media independent interface or MII is the interface that a PHY uses to communicate with a MAC. A twisted pair is typically used in networking to describe a set of tx or rx wires that are twisted together in a cat5 cable. for a typical 100-1000 Mbps ehternet network you would need two twisted pairs to transfer the data (rx+,rx-,tx+,tx-). The twisted pairs are connected to the PHY (the physical interface) and then via…
100base-fx is 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet over a fiber optic cable. while 'fx' isn't an acronym, it does stand for a transmission that takes place over a fiber optic cable; fiber exchange. This goes back to the old telegraph abbreviations. TX is used as an abbreviation for transfer while RX is used to represent receive.
Phone lines using the RJ11 jack (the phone jack) have 4 wires...Colors of those are black yellow red and green. The Red(tx) and Green(rx) are for LINE1 (which is the primary phone number, usually) The Yellow(Tx) and Black(Rx) lines are for LINE2 (Which is for the secondary phone line, which most Phone services do not include in their standarized packages).
Rx is a symbol used in Egyptian mythology for the ancient Egyptian sky god, Horus, whose eyes were said to be the sun and the moon. His right eye was the sun, and his left eye was the moon. Rx symbolized the left eye, the moon, which was known as the "Eye of Horus." The symbol is used by pharmacies and in the field of medicine, and represents the Eye of Horus in that aspect.

For older systems running 27MHz no binding is necessary, simply ensure the Tx and Rx are using the same frequency crystals. For newer 2.4GHz systems binding is necessary by shorting two of the pins on the port labelled 'bind'. Almost all Rx will come with a special binding plug, simply shorting these two wires.
Each pin are assigned a name that carry a specific signal which are: CD, Rx, Tx, RTS, GND, DSR, RTS, CTS, & RI. Most common application only uses Tx, Rx,& GND (pins 2, 3 & 5) and the rest are left unconnected (NC). Try searching DB-9 instead. DE-9 (which is the right name) almost always been called DB-9 (a misnomer but wide accepted). hopes that helps. johnlauder.com
It doesn't have to be; you can do it either way. If it's part of a transceiver, then the LO is usually placed on the side of the Rx freq that's opposite the Tx freq, so that leakage from the Tx oscillators can't produce Rx phantoms. Another thing to watch out for ... depending on the Rf band and the IF, you wouldn't want the LO to ever operate AT or near the IF frequency…
In satellite communication uplink (transmission of signal from earth station to satellite ) & downlink (reception of signal from satellite to earth station) takes place TX & RX involves a finite amount of delay which is acceptable in data communication, but i audio & video TX this delay is unacceptable, overlapping/ alaising causes errors which demodulated by qpsk.
