A 1960 British Sixpence looks the same as all British Sixpences issued from 1953 to 1967.

It is a cupro-nickel coin, 19.5 mm in diameter, weighs 2.83 grams and is of silver appearance with a young, right facing Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The latin inscription "ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA BRITT:OMN:REGINA" around the circumference.

The reverse depicts interlaced rose, thistle, shamrock and leek, with the Latin words "FID DEF" around the circumference at the top, and "SIXPENCE.1960" at the bottom.

The link below shows an almost identical 1958 Sixpence.

Pictures of a specific coin are difficult to come by. Usually you should be able to find one on eBay, but the picture is withdrawn after the coin is sold.

The British 1951 Sixpence is generally the same as all British Sixpences minted from 1949 to 1952 inclusive.

They are made from copper and nickel (no silver), weigh 2.81 grams, 19 mm in diameter and have a milled edge.

The obverse has a left facing, bare headed King George VI. The inscription around the circumference reads - "GEORGIVS VI D : G : BR : OMN : REX" which is heavily abbreviated Latin for "George VI, by the Grace of God, King of all the British Territories".

The reverse has a Crowned monogram or cypher "G vi R", with the words SIXPENCE around the circumference at the bottom and "FID DEF" around the circumference at the top. "FID DEF" is abbreviated Latin for "Defender of the Faith".

The year is split either side of the cypher "19 G vi R 51.

The obverse was designed by Thomas Humphrey Paget.

The reverse is a modified design from an earlier design by George Kruger Gray.

A 1932 British Halfpenny is the same design as all British Halfpennies issued from 1928 to 1936. The Halfpenny is made from bronze, is 26 mm in diameter and weighs 5.658 grams. The obverse has a left facing King George V with beard and moustache with the words - "GEORGIVS V DEI GRA BRITT REX FID DEF IND IMP" which is mostly abbreviated from Latin. How much is a 2963 Queen Elizabeth 2nd Halfpenny worth?

Please check your coin. The Halfpenny has been out of circulation for well over 20 years, and Queen Elizabeth II is not very likely to be with us in 2963. If you refer to a 1963 British Halfpenny, the coin has very little value if it has been in circulation.
