For most isuzu rodeo transmission are sealed transmissions, (they do not have a dip stick) look under the truck and you will see two bolts on the transmission oil pan,(one smaller than the other) technically you're supposed to refill the oil with a special pump at mechanic shop. But there's a trick to do it yourself, on the driver's side of the transmission is a plug with a sensor( remove the sensor and fill from there. You will need an adjustable wrench..

look at the top of the engine, the cover for the spark plugs ends at the front of the engine. Right at that point is where the connector is, to get at the sensor you must remove the serpentine belt, wiring cover, and timing belt cover, and the sensor bolt can be accessed between the camshaft pulleys, its a small torx bolt.

M.A.S. ;99 Rodeo.I own a '99 Isuzu rodeo, so this may not be exactly it, but should be close. My mass airlfow sensor is located between the filter and the throttle body. It is inline with the intake hose. This is in my experience the typical location for it. Itlooks like a ring around the intake hose with a box maybe 3"x3"x1" with a wire attached to it. Usually, if you detach the hose from the filter box, and look into the hose, you'll see a mesh grating. This protects the sensor from any debris in case anything were to get past the filter.If you're very careful, sometimes you can clean the sensor elements and avoid replacing the sensor. Remove the sensor, remove the mesh and spray with a cleaner that leaves no residue (brake cleaner is good-- not carb cleaner) if necessary, gently wipe the sensor elements. They are fragile.
