Generally this is a low blood pressure, and could be caused by a variety of things. It can be normal for some people, though, so knowing what your baseline blood pressure is would be very important for assessing the importance of that single finding.
This is a bit out of the normal range, however in my experience in the Emergency medicine, i have seen many blood pressures similar in completely healthy individuals. A low systolic pressure can exist because of the health and stamina of an individual. If you are a avid runner, your heart may be strong and not need to beat that intense to efficiently cause blood flow to your organs and tissues. However, if you have just been shot and are bleeding with a Systolic measurement of 99 that may be a symptom of significant blood loss. A frequent check of the BP and loss of blood volume should be checked every 15 minutes.
a measurement of 68 diastolic is not a bad number at all. One thing to remember about the blood pressure measurement is that it tells you a great deal of information about the heart and the blood flow. However, without the other signs and symptoms it is difficult to tell what is really wrong with the patient.
If this is your blood pressure and you are taking to assess you current health, quit smoking, or keep running. is my advice to you. you will be fine.
My wifes blood pressure has always been low and never had any problems.
140/90 is broken down to 140 mmHg systolic pressure and 90 mmHg diastolic. 140 is the pressure inside arteries during the contraction of the heart. 90 is the pressure as the heart relaxes.
You have Hypotension (low blood pressure) and should see your doctor.
I means your systolic blood pressure (98) is lower than normal (120). Seeing a doctor is recommended.
Means you're healthy!
It is an excellent blood pressure for a 68 year old woman.
Itis just at the bottom of the stage 1 high blood pressure chart.
Blood pressure of 90 over 70 and a pulse rate of 68...are they normal/ Yes, the BP is a little low but the heart rate indicates that the body can handle it.
The 68 is good. 131 is a little higher than ideal- 120 is the usual goal.
130/70
120/80 is the normal blood pressure 120/80 is what we call textbook blood pressure. no one ever has exactly that. but BP depends on so many things, exercise, diet, medical conditions, medication, how much you drink in a day ect. your blood pressure can drop if you do not drink enough water.
107/68 is not a high blood pressure. On an adverage healthy adult a normal blood pressure is 120/80.
Anything under 120/80 is normal for an adult. Hypertension is any blood pressure over 140/90. Your blood pressure is fine.
People who are athletic may have a lower pulse (exercise strengthens the heart, and ther heart becomes more efficient at pumping blood). 117/56: this blood pressure is normal. A pulse of 50 may be normal, but you have to look at the bigger picture: * is the person symptomatic (such as dizzy, nauseated, sweaty) * is the pulse regular or irregular * is the person on any medications that would cause a lower heart rate
Top number could be a little lower but overall a very good number. Before checking your blood pressure sit and don't talk and breath normal for about 5 minutes for a accurate number.
It is the diastolic pressure. It is the pressure on the walls of the arteries when the heart is resting.
it's great!
