The TIGHTEST choke (which is smallest) is the Extra Full. The largest (no choke at all) is known as a cylinder bore.
Generally the nominal diameter of cylinder bore is kept little smaller at cylinder head than at the bottom. The engine head will be generally heat and it tends to expand for these high temperatures. To prevent the bore diameter at head to exceed diameter at bottom,piston engine bore is ground with a slight choke.
"Cylinder bore" means the bore diameter at the muzzle is the same size as the bore at the front of the cylinder where the shell is when it's fired. Shotguns use "choke" settings to restrict the size of the mass of lead pellets coming out of the muzzle to tighten the mass down onto a further target....a cylinder bore gun has zero choke restriction so the mass of lead pellets stays wide and spread out. Cylinder bore guns are meant strictly for close in targets for that reason.
It can, but you will probably get better accuracy with improved cylinder bore or cylinder bore using slugs. It depends on the gun.
