What do you give baby guina pigs to eat?

when it is with the mum it will feed of her and learn to drink bottle and eat hard food. once you take them out from their mum they should be eating hard normal Guinea pig food but put veg in as well

Our Guinea Pig gave birth to three cuties. Day one and two children suck their mother. We separated the father, so he cant annoy the female. Plenty of green grass vegetables(tomatoe, cucumber, capsicum) along with hay and guinea pig standard food we put for the mother. Eating them, the mother pig was giving milk to all the three tirelessly. The baby guinea pigs from third day onwards also try to follow the mother and try to eat all the above food and fond of eating the normal grass just plucked out from outside the lawns(should be the normal non-smelly ones).

the baby pig should be able to eat anything the mum can eat. Especially good for the baby piggie would be some Alfalfa hay (high in calcium for building strong bones & teeth) and fresh veggies. The baby piggie can eat the same pellets as the mum and will also be nursing from her. You may also want to take a look at the height of the water bottle sipper tube. It may need to be lowered to accommodate the pup until it gets bigger.

Please note that male baby pigs become sexually mature at age 21 days, so if the pup is a boy, please separate it from the mum at 21 days or you will risk pregnancy. If the pup is a girl, she can stay with the mum indefinitely.
