The American Robin's diet generally consists of around 40 percent invertebrates, such as beetle grubs, caterpillars and grasshoppers, and 60 percent wild and cultivated fruits and berries. It forages primarily on the ground for soft-bodied invertebrates, and finds worms by sight, pouncing on them and then pulling them up. Nestlings are fed mainly on worms and other soft-bodied animal prey. In some areas, Robins, particularly of the coastal race T. m. caurinus will feed on beaches, taking insects and small mollusks.
They mainly eat worms and ants in the natural world, but if you are asking because he is abandond than either find worms or buy them the best possible answer is to mix worms and bird formula throughout the day every other hour feed them worms every 30 mins feed them formula
They eat mostly worms AND insects such as ants. I know this because I once had a whole bunch of robin redbreasts at my school just eating away all the ants and worms they could find. And don't you think its weird that they have a noame that says BREAST!! Come on now BREAST!! I have boobies but I don't think a BIRD would have nipples never mind BOOBS!!
What do you think? Well, seeing as there are no huge vats of juice and stuff in the wild... I'd say...WATER! Or, sometimes, berry's juice will suffice if no water is nearby.
Normally they eat seeda but they may be able to eat other things like berries.?!
