Pretty much all lifestyle conditions like stress, fatigue, depression. Also any kind of pain, new research has shown that the acupuncture has a physical effect on your pain receptors (I can't remember the details but I'm sure you can go and find it). Also good for skin problems.
Acupuncture is supposed to help with pain in your neck, shoulders and back. People also use acupuncture to treat anxiety, depression, headaches, insomnia, sinuses, arthrithis, stress, infertility, etc.
The Chinese culture is not the only culture famous for their acupuncture techniques. The Japanese and Koreans are also well known for their spin on using acupuncture. The Chinese still use acupuncture today for everything from dermatology to cancer treatments. However, the Chinese originated using acupuncture for emotions. They did not have any fancy machines to diagnose, therefore treatments were based off emotions and symptoms.
