Breathing
Sometimes referred to as the ABC's Airway, Breathing, Circulation
This relates directly to first aid.
The only thing I can think that is close is Coronary Artery Bypass. But that's usual CABG ("Cabage") - Coronary Artery Bypass Graft. But that is a medical procedure and not applicable to First Aid unless it's part of patients history.
The good news is that in 2010, the American Heart Association (AHA) changedCPR'slongstanding A-B-C (Airway, Breathing, Compressions) sequence to C-A-B(Compressions, Airway, Breathing). The old A-B-C sequence for CPR consisted of the following steps: ... Breathing - Pinch the victim's nose and breathe into the mouth.
CAB is an easy to remember acronym to help those who need to remember the steps to perform CPR. The letters, C-A-B, each stand for one of the following:
1. Compressions: perform hard, fast compressions to the center of the chest
2. Airway: tilt the victims head back and lift the chin to open the victim's airway
3. Breathing: provided mouth-to-mouth to give rescue breaths
Recommended rate for effective compressions for adult/child is: 80 Compressions per minute 150 Compressions per minute 100 to 120 Compressions per minute
None of the above
