These codes can be caused by aftermarket scan tools and also by unpluging the scan tool with out turning the key to the off possition.

The computers system registered an error during a diagnostic or a failure in one of the sensors. Take it a local autoparts store to have the code read and then look it up online.
You might want to check with your local Chevy dealer. I believe that your battery should still be under warranty (5-year).
