it allows you to play/view older files
only in compatability mode
no. protected mode runs the software in a "sand box" where nothing should be able to go wrong. 16-bit mode runs the program using 16-bit instead of 32-bit, for compatability.
that happened to me in vista 64bit, had to uncheck xp compatability mode and it started just fine again
First, you must be connected to the internet. Second, if you are using Windows Vista, you must run the program in compatability mode for Windows XP. Do this by right clicking on the executable file and selecting properties. Ensure that the file is not read-only, and then click on the compatability tab. Check the boxes for [run in compatability mode for:] and [Run as an administrator] and then make sure the drop down list is on "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)".
You can try running it in compatability mode for XP. Also be sure to have the latest patches installed as well. That's all I can think of atm.
Don't worry it is nothing to freak out about, all you need to do is right click on MapleStory and then click on Properties. Then click on Compatability. After that just click on the box that says "Run this program in compatability mode for:" until it has a check and then choose Windows XP(Service Pack 2). Then click on Apply and Ok. Then it works.
It was designed to run on WinXP. It is a 6 or 7 year old game so you may want to try and run it in compatability mode for WinXP.
Most BNSF emulators will work on Windows 7. You may have to adjust how it runs, use compatability mode or other workarounds for some emulators, but they will eventually work.
YES it does - right mouse click on the desktop icon, select 'properties', select 'compatability' 'tab, under 'compatability mode' select the box and select 'windows sp2'. Then check the 'run as administrator' under 'priviledge level' I'm running this on Vista 32bit, spent ages messing about with the VM which makes bugger all difference.
the energy of the couple in a relationship
I had problems installing it in Windows XP. What I did was to right click on the installation file, go to 'properties', 'advanced', and change the compatability mode to Windows 95. Then it installed fine, and I had no trouble playing it.
The correct spelling is "compatibility".
