H2SO4 is sulphuric acid.

The letters and numbers are: -

2 x H = 2 hydrogen atoms

1 x S = 1 sulphur atom

4 x O = 4 oxygen atoms.

In strictest chemical terms , the numbers after the letter symbol should be written 'subscript'.
