Herrentag is the same as Vatertag. It´s every year holiday when Christ's ascension. It´s the day of fathers. Every children say thanks to their fathers, maybe with a little present. Herrentag is known in Eastern Germany and Vatertag in Western Germany.
There is also a Mother´s day every year on the 2nd sunday in may.
