The introduction is where you tell the reader (or the teacher or the judges) what
the question was that you investigated, and what answer you found. It can also
include a very brief description of how you investigated it, but that can't be more
than one single sentence.
If you look at the whole project from beginning to end, it looks like this:
Introduction:
In the introduction, you very briefly describe what you're about to tell them
in the main body.
Main Body:
In the main body, you tell them what question you studied, how you studied it,
and what answer you discovered.
Conclusion:
In the conclusion, you very briefly describe what you have just told them
in the main body.

What does experimentation for a science project
It's a summary of the outcomes of the experiment/project compared to the expectations. There should be also a brief explanation so that someone can only read the introduction and conclusion of the project but know exactly what went on.
