If it is a burning sensation, it is most likely a urinary tract infection, also called a bladder infection.
This is common for women, and might occur after sexual activity among other reasons.
A doctor will prescribe antibiotics to treat it.
For men, urinary tract infections are sometimes a sign of an underlying issue. If the pain is gone after urination (and doesn't come back), the infection has probably healed, however if it remains, it is recommended that the guy should see a doctor.
Irritation of the vagina and urethral opening is caused by excessive friction, caused by long periods of hard penile thrusting. Remember, the vagina is composed of sensitive skin, and just as you can scrape your arm if you rub too hard on something you can also get a very sore vagina from long and intensive sex. The painful urination after sex is caused from the irritation of the urethral opening, since the opening of the urethra and the vaginal opening are located closely together it is possible for the penis in certain positions during intercourse to rub on and irritate the urethral opening. Therefore, if you urinate shortly after sex it may burn or sting a bit, prompting you to not empty your bladder completely, since it is painful. Hence, you may feel the need that you still have to go. Pain in the vaginal area from irritation due to intense intercourse usually lasts only a few days and involves a feeling of soreness between the legs. If burning or pain on urination is prolonged or if the frequency of having to go to the bathroom increases, it is usually a sign that there is a urinary tract infection.
****Or it could be that the inside of your vagina has a small tear in it, causing it to burn. (this will go away in a few days, or a few hours. )
Sounds like you have a UTI ( Urinary Tract Infection) you have to go to the doctors and do a urine test then get treated as it will only get worse. You have a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) and need to be seen by a doctor. In the interim (until you can get to a doctor) drink LOTS of water and cranberry juice. The sooner you start drinking, the sooner it will stop hurting. One common cause of UTI is dehydration. If you don't get water in you (and back out of you) soon, it may develop into a Kidney infection which will bring you serious pain, almost continuously.
This condition requires antibiotics and will not go away on its own. If left untreated, a urinary tract infection can spread and turn into a kidney infection.

You forgot to mention if it hurts during urination or defecation. (peeing and pooping) If it's during urination, suspect an infection and go see your doctor if it keeps up more than a couple of days. If it's during defecation, it could be varicose veins around your anus, which are called 'hemmorhoids
