It could be an ingrown hair or and insect bite or a pimple... Did you bump your head, maybe its from that. Might want to have a friend check it out.
Only if your friend is a doctor. Could be a sebaceous cyst . If youv'e had it for more than a couple weeks/ and or it's growing or very tender, please go to a real Doctor.
Did you fall and bump your head? Or get hit with something in the head? If you didn't bump or hit your head or get hit in the head recently, you should go see a doctor. And if you did bump your head and these tender spots and bumps don't go away soon, you should see a doctor also. I have painful bump on my head especially when touched coupled with head aches and blurry vision. Please let me know the there is any information. I can'tfind any.
I have the same problem so I asked my doctor about them. Once she saw them she said they were the result of blocked pores - basically really sore pimples. I have been using a shampoo for oily scalp.
I suffer from itchy, painful, worrisome bumps ranging from small pimple sized to several small fusing together to form a large boil sized bump. They come to a whitehead then crust over. It started as one or two. Over time they have increased to too many to count. They have started to extend down my neck, along the hairline behind my ears and even along the hairline in my face. They've shown up anywhere there's hair; eyebrow, upper lip, armpit. They have increased in number; take longer to go away. I try to let them resolve on their own so as not to cause scarring. I asked my doctor about it. She called it something with a really long name. She said "not to worry because they seem to be resolving on their own." I want to know what causes it. And why it is getting worse. Recently I've been treating them with apple cider vinegar. I've only tried this for a couple of days. It seems to draw them out faster and they get to the crusted over stage quicker. If I get a significant reaction, (such as it GOES AWAY!) I'll report back. Just seems that doctors don't like to tell you much these days.
Could be lymphoma,go and see a lymphoma symptoms website.Good luck

A round quarter size bump on top of a child's head could indicate a cyst. Cysts are not painful and are common in children in the head region.
If you woke up with a large bump on your head, you need to keep a close watch on it. It could be a pimple or possibly an insect bite.

Sebaceous Cyst.
The skin on the top of your head might be sinking in due to a bump you may have gotten to the skull. The skin will follow the contour of the skull.
Probably a sebaceous cyst. I have 2 on my scalp, and have had 3 removed. They aren't dangerous, but can grow quite large and protrude through your hair. The 2 I had removed were roughly the size of a cherry, and a bantam egg !. They can be removed under local or general anaesthetic. The doctor inserts a needle into your head (Yep, that hurts) , cuts the skin and the cyst pops out.
== == We have two of these fish. Recently one of them got really dark and has a large bump on top of his head. I looked around online and figured out that it is only the males that get this bump on top of their head. Hope that helps!
You have a goose egg. It happens when you smack your head on something really hard.
