A prospective student is a person who is likely to become a student. The term is common in the college admissions process when referring to high-school graduates who have been accepted by a college or university but who have not yet committed to the school.

The AAS is an associate of applied science degree, which is a very career oriented degree designed to give a student all the expertise necessary to enter the workforce immediately after completion. However, a prospective students should meet with a counselor for full disclosure and accurate information if the student plans to transfer to a four year college or university upon completion of the degree. Not all AAS degrees transfer smoothly.
Does any amendment or rule help level the college admission for students with learning disabilities?
It's illegal for universities to ask disability-related questions on applications, or consider disabilities in admission processes. It's up to the student/prospective student to disclose this information or not, but to my knowledge, it cannot legally bear weight in the admissions process. Once the student is admitted, there are resources/accommodations available to the student to level the playing field in terms of testing and classwork.
