bad calipers change them yesterday not tomorrow
It's telling you the brake fluid reservoir is low and the brakes need attention.
You might be out of brake fluid. Our rear wheel cylinder was leaking and ran ours out of fluid and the light came on.
The Drum is bad and needs to be fixed asap. Seriously. I lost my brakes because of that and almost t-boned another car. Get it fixed. Forget the cost. The brake cylinder could be leaking more than likely.
it is usually the rear brake cylinder that's leaking and needs to be replace on that side.
it means either your emergency brake is on or your low on brake fluid
It means there is a pressure difference between the front and rear brakes when the brake pedal is depressed. It will not reset until the pressure difference is repaired or eliminated. Check for low fluid/ air, rear brakes adjustment or bad. Front brakes bad, Bad master cylinder internally leaking pressure, etc.
Most likely causes are a rusted metal brake line, cut or hole in rubber brake hose or possibly you have a wheel cylinder leaking. No matter the cause its very important to get it fixed because its likely that at some point your brakes will go out completely.
if it is hard to press on the brakes it usually indicates that you have a malfunctioning brake booster. Since brake boosters are vacuum assisted, it could also be that you have a disconnected vacuum hose or a leaking hose.
I found out it`s the cylinder
Power steering fluid is completely different from brake fluid and NOT interchangable. Don't know your car but in most cases the "brake" light in the dash is a warning light to indicate you have a serious problem with your brakes. Suggest you get it fixed immediatly. Remember, your life depends on your brakes.
There is a smaller master cylinder next to the brake master cylinder. The clutch uses brake fluid also. If you mean where does it go if it is low, the slave cylinder on the transmission is probably leaking.
Try checking Brake fluid level if ok then cxheck pad wear.
