It usually means that they're happy. If they vibrate violently, then they're extremely frightened. Put them down immediately. If they continue to vibrate like this, then you may want to get them to a vet immediately.
It means they are probably either scared, stressed seriously or in pain. This has happened once to my Campbell's Russian Dwarf Hamster when she got her snout stuck in the bars of her playpen and the above is what my exotic vet told me.

Most times, the squeaking and rubbing noises are caused by brake pad wear, but you say the brakes are fine. Otherwise, if by constant rotation speed you mean the squeaking/rubbing noise is present even when the brakes are not applied, you might want to get the wheel bearing inspected
