It depends what happens in the dream, I personally dreamt my ex was dying, which can mean your finally letting go and you might not be comfortable with that just yet. Or to dream your ex boyfriend is just talking to you this could mean your subconcious is trying to to warn you not to make the same mistakes in your present relationship as you did in that one, or some people believe that death signifys a big change in your life, or birth.
