This probably means that something in the past day or so brought memories of that old love to your mind. It need not have been anything you noticed, but could have been a subtle piece of music, a place you passed by or even a fragrance associated with that person. The dream could even have been triggered by the holiday season that is just beginning, bringing to mind previous holidays spent with that old love.

∙ 13y agoGenerally speaking, this seems to be a wish-fulfillment dream. The subconscious mind creates a story to fulfill the dreamer's desires. It is neither prophetic nor indicative of the past lover's emotions.
