This is not unusual, as the mind often uses dreams as a means of trying to have a "do-over," or an attempt to make an experience turn out differently. At the very least, dreams can sometimes change the memory of an event, so that one is able to remember it differently. Alternatively, your mind may be using the dream to show you that your parents would not approve of something you are doing (or plan to do.) By creating a dream of arguing with your parents, your mind may help you see your behavior or plans differently.
