Sometimes a snake represents regeneration, eternal life and the practice of medicine. At other times it can suggest betrayal, lying or suspicious behavior. So the meaning of your specific dream depends on the emotions you experienced in the dream as well as on what is happening in the dream. If you felt relief, perhaps the dead snake represents something fearful that is no longer threatening you. But if you felt disappointment or hopelessness, the snake might be a symbol for a failed medical treatment.

∙ 12y agoIt means that in your REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep, your unconscious neural pathway created an 'odd' or 'interesting' juxtaposition of visualised objects that in waking consciousness you recalled because of its unusual nature.
In sleep the neural-net or thinking brain shuts down to the stage where thought no longer flows in a logical and fluid order, and instead kind of 'cuts and pastes' different thoughts or memories together. - usually from something you have either experienced or witnessed over the last few days . . . if even just from watching something on TV.
This 'cut and paste' is what creates 'dreams', and it is why 'dreams' are weird compared to the real world.
