Large dogs commonly get 'bloat' where the stomach fills up with gas and flips restricting the digestive process. Sometimes the stomach partically flips allowing stomach acid, gas, and or food to escape. This condition is an emergency and if a total flip occurs could cause the stomach the explode. Treatment involves surgery to repostition the stomach, then the doctor would stitch the stomach in place so it would be unlikly to occur again. To avoid this from happening place dog food in a dog food stand so it is elevated. This allows less air to enter the digestive system. Some hard dog (large pellets) food should be soaked this allows the food to expand outside of the stomach so proper food measurements can be taken.

∙ 14y agoIt sounds serious enough to consult a veterinarian. It's possible the dog is having a seizure, but it could also be a symptom of something like poisoning.
