Roger pretends to be the pig in the pig dance in "Lord of the Flies." He acts out the role during the boys' reenactment of the hunt, revealing the dark and violent nature that lurks within him.
After their encounter with a boar, on their journey from castle rock to the mountain, the boys did a reenactment of a pig hunt with Robert playing the part of the boar. The boys got over excited and a little carried away, poking him with their spears and grabbing hold of his body and squeezing. The result was that Robert was physically hurt, terrified and in tears. When the game was over he rubbed his rump and complained "Oh, my bum!"

Simon comes to tell the boys that the "beast" is actually a dead parachutist on the cliff and that they don't have to be afraid anymore. But the other boys are caught up in the reenactment of the hunt of the beast, acting out the drama of what they would do. They all get lost with a sort of mob mentality and do something that none of them would normally do. They end up savagely murdering Simon, viewing him as the "beast".

The game becomes increasingly violent and ritualistic, foreshadowing the descent of the boys into savagery and chaos.

In "Lord of the Flies", the boys reenact the hunt for the bore after the actual hunt. They make Robert pretend to be the boar and dance, chant and poke him with their spears. The group gets so caught up in the frenzy, they nearly kill him.
piggy dies by getting hit by a bolder, and simon gets killed because it was dark and the boys made a kill however simon came back from the jungle and they over react and kill him thinking it is the beast.
The boys hunt for Ralph as an order of Jack.
