JHP means Jacketed Hollow Point. A copper alloy over a lead (usually) core, with a hollow point for dependable expansion.

Standard velocity 158 gr semi-wadcutter. The small light 38s do not do well with +P ammo, and a 2 inch barrel does not work well with most JHP rounds (too slow to expand)
I'd just as soon carry a pocket full of rocks than a .32, personally, but if I had to, I'd probably go with Speer Gold Dot JHP ammo.
Whether for pistol or rifle, .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire ammo is loaded with bullets ranging from 30 to 50 grains. The standard seems to be 45 grains.
