The cost of land in Kentucky depends on where the land is located, whether it is tendable, whether it has timber. Is it flat land, hilly, mountainous, overgrown, forest, or clean for grazing farm animals? Is it bottom land and marshy? Or is the soil rich for growing crops. Is the land rocky? Is the land secluded, near neighborhoods, in the city limits or in the county? Is it considered as commercial property? All these things determine the cost of land. One acre could cost anywhere from $500 to $20,000 or much more, depending on these factors.

Four acres of unimproved land (no buildings, no electricity, no water, no driveway, etc.) in Kentucky varies greatly, depending on what type of land it is and where it located. In western Kentucky land can be as low as $3ooo an acre, sometimes a little less, but most four acre plots would cost at least $20000 or more. In other parts of Kentucky, it could cost more. Land with improvements is much higher, starting at $30000 usually, and that is without any buildings.

Like any land, it depends on the owner that sells it. If it were still owned by the government, though, it would be around $1000-$2000
