Of course not. Dr. Benjamin is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is Gamma Alpha '76. OO-OOP!
Object-oriented itself has been around for awhile. It was the languages that provide ways to implement OO to make OOP into mainstream. Smalltalk, Java, C#, VB.Net, and C++ are among those OO languages. The concept of OO was not from one person, nor from just one group. It was from quite a few different and competing groups around the globe, each had its own way and ideas. I don't know who was the coordinator(s) to put all the groups together to agree with the principles and make OO possible.
The word oop, in THE RULE OF NAMES, means up.
difference
No. Java is 100% OOP while C++ supports the concept of primitives (which it inherited from C). Thus C++ supports far more features than Java, but it does not support any more OOP features than Java. Note that there are only four primary OOP features: encapsulation, abstraction, inheritance and polymorphism. Anything beyond that is implementation-specific and outwith the scope of OOP.
