Is it the name of Thai food?
I think no one knows the meaning of "Panang". We just eat and enjoy :p
So I searched in thai wiki and it said "Panang means the posture when you sit and do the meditation" and when you cook, you similarly do this on chickens :)
But again, besides the meaning of food, I never heard this kind of meaning before.
if you mean panéing it is simply breading something using flour egg mix and bread crumbs if you meant panang it is a thai curry
