Resistor
The "R" just designates a resistor plug. You are fine with the J19LM.
the R stands for Resistor. It is a resistor plug.
My hand book says use A7RC spark plug..try NGK R BPR8ES eqv plug.
Yes you can. The "R" simply refers to the plug being a resistor plug. The size, diameter, heat range and thread pitch are exactly the same.
the r in spark plug numbers stands for "resistor" it is sometimes a spin off cap and some times a fixed end.
It has to do with the chamber of the head & if u want a hotter spark gap them to min of 45 & use same # plug with an r in front of # . r is for racing plug burns hotter better fuel consumption & alot faster starts
Mine is a 2000 model and it has an NGK R BPR7HS10
R 44T is the AC Delco part number
Drill a hole in the driver's side wheel well to get to the difficult spark plug. In order for it not to be visible, drill the hole high enough to both be hidden and reach the hard to get spark plug with a long extension. I lift and support the front end and remove the front tires. Using a spark plug socket with a long wobble extension you can reach under the rubber splash guard and r&r the spark plugs with ease.
