The movies have done Peter Parker a great injustice. Peter does not shoot webbing from his wrists. Peter invented web fluid and the web-shooting gear all by himself. It is not a super power.

I dnt believe spiderman can release webs from his body unless he's the iron spider (spiderman died in a fight and was reborn as a man-spider without going crazy and only has legs behind his back and can shoot unlimited organic webs then ironman passed him an armour) but he used a device to go to as if nothing happened ( by the way, when he gained organic webbing, he gave his web shooters to Mary Jane as a anniversary gift).

in the origonal spiderman comics, Peter makes his own web shooter, in the newer movies, (spiderman 1, 2, and 3) the webs are part of the power he gets from the bite. There is a new reboot coming out soon, instead of Spiderman 4, that will have peter make his web shooter like the origonal.
