In Mark's Gospel, the first to be written, Jesus is a human with divine powers.
Matthew and Luke came next. In them, Jesus is the Son of God, from his virgin conception.
John's Gospel begins with "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Jesus is identified as the Word, and therefore was God.

Deists believed in a rational, natural religion based on a belief in God as the creator of the universe, but rejected the supernatural aspects and organized religion found in Christianity.

Yes. Thomas Jefferson did not believe in the divinity of Jesus, nor that he performed any miracles, but he respected the moral teachings of the New Testament. He created a new Bible, the "Jefferson Bible", by cutting out references to miracles or to God.
Only those who believe in Jesus' divinity and accept his gift of life will be saved. All have fallen short and need a savior, therefore should accept Jesus' grace and be saved regardless of what others say or do. People need to learn to think for themselves. Whether people believe or not does not alter the truth of who Jesus is and of His great love for all people. Jesus' divinity is central to who he is.
The second American President, John Adams rejected the biblical divinity of Jesus and did not believe that God intervened in the affairs of individuals. The third American President, Thomas Jefferson, also rejected the divinity of Jesus and questioned the miracles of the New Testament, while approving some of Jesus' moral sentiments. He produced "The Jefferson Bible", a thin volume containing the philosophical and moral teachings of Jesus but omitting all claims to miracles or to the divinity of Jesus. The sixth American President, John Quincy Adams took the oath of office on a book of laws, instead of the more traditional Bible, to preserve the separation of church and state.
