∙ 12y agoMost scientists believe global warming is one of the major problems facing our planet at the present time. Humans release 30 billion tons of CO2 from fossil sources each year, which is accumulating faster than it can be absorbed, and this "greenhouse" gas is driving up the planet's temperature.
If we poll just climate scientists on this issue, close to 97% concur with this assessment.

∙ 7y agoAll governments agree that the world has to stop global warming. The recent Paris agreement means that every country has set their own goals of reducing emissions. The general aim is to stop the world warming by more than two degrees Celsius.
Unfortunately, most of the goals are not high enough to achieve this, and will need to be raised.
