What does the reggae colors represent?

if i remember right there use to be a poem that went a little something like this:

Red is blood that flows through our vains

Green is the grass that ... (i don't know lol )...

Black is the colour of our skin

Yellow is the sun that shines above

Well anyway something like that but that's the colours.
