Chromatophores being the general term, a squid uses cells called melanophores and erythrophores mainly to communicate with each other. An example of this is the Humbolt Squid which uses flashes of red and white to communicate.
The funnel of a squid is used for jet propulsion, in which case the squid shoots out a stream of fast-moving water. The squid moves the opposite way the funnel is faced. The funnel can be moved in different directions allowing the squid to move different directions. The funnel is also used to expel wastes and ink.

The cecum on a squid is an organ in the squids lower intestine that helps digest the food.

Cecum
A cecum is a primitive rectum, where both solid and liquid waste collect before being expelled from the animal's body.
The function squid testis is to produce sperm during reproduction.
Almost all of the organs in a body have a function. A squid's liver helps in absorbing the food consumed by the squid.
The function of the cecum is to help digest plants through the body. The cecum stores food temporarily while helpful bacteria digest the cellulose found in the plant cellsIn herbivores, the caecum plays an important role in digestion. For example, in horses, the caecum is the main site for the symbiotic bacteria which break down food (eg. cellulose) for the horse. The caecum absorbs water and salts from undigested foods before they continue on to the large intestine. The caecum of a squid has a digestive function. It absorbs fluid and salt after food has been digested inside of the squid.
It filters the waste of the squid waste and it also separates the water and blood of the squid.
The function of the water jet is to move the squid from left to right for example if the squid shots water left it will move to the right and vice versa
