sunlight
Our sun, Sol, uses hydrogen for fuel.
There is no volcanoes on the sun, but sometimes a large energy release known as a solar flare can be mistaken for a volcano.
Plasma in the Sun is the fourth state of matter, consisting of ionized gases. It makes up most of the Sun's mass and is responsible for the nuclear fusion reactions that power the Sun's energy output. Plasma in the Sun has extremely high temperatures and densities, allowing for the continuous release of light and heat.
The sun does release a lot of heat and radiation, but it doesn't "burn" the Earth because the Earth's distance from the sun is within a habitable range that allows for the right conditions for life to exist. The Earth's atmosphere and magnetic field also help protect it from the sun's most harmful effects.
Brief bursts of energy from the sun's photosphere are called solar flares. These are sudden flashes of increased brightness on the sun's surface that release a large amount of energy in a short period of time.
