A marker is a ring placed on a knitting needle between two stitches to remind the knitting that something is supposed to happen there.
A "marker" is a ring that you put on your knitting needle to mark where a pattern begins. When there is a special set of stitches, such as a cable or a popcorn pattern, you put a small marker on the needle to remind yourself where the pattern begins and ends. These markers can be anything that reminds you--a plastic ring, a different color loop of yarn, or thread on your needle. It should be loose enough to simply transfer from one needle to another. Since it is just a "place holder", you don't do anything with it except move it from one needle to another, it is a "slip" from one place to another. So when the pattern says slip marker, it simply means to move the marker from one needle to another and continue knitting.

Yes.
the term join refers to circular knitting . At the end of your row instead of turning and working back you would continue working in the same direction in a circle place a marker where you are joining so you know where you are starting your row . Also make sure you do not twist an put down your work in the middle of a row a this can not be fixed . at first always complete your row and place end caps or a rubber band on the ends keeping them flush together so when you start again nothing gets twisted .. last note make sure if needed to knot your work when you join being careful not to twist but if this is too hard it can be done later so dont worry
In knitting, the term "yfwd" is an abbreviation for "yarn forward." In order to do a yarn forward, simply pull the yarn strand with which you are knitting between the needles to the front of the work, so that it is in the position normally used when preparing to perform a purl stitch. That's all there is to it!
It can mean a number of things, flat or smooth, not complicated, not difficult, honest and straightforward, without adornment, a flat tract of land or a knitting term
This means yarn forward.
