The Latin word uti can be a variation of ut, which is used in many different ways as a conjunction or as an adverb meaning "in what manner", "how", "in the manner that", "as", "how much", "when", "as soon as" and many more.
It is also used to introduced a verb in the subjunctive case, indicating a possibility, hypothetical situations, a wish, a hope, a desire or intention, when it can be translated "in order to ", "so that", "with the intention that".
The word uti is also a specific form of the verb utor, "I use, enjoy, experience, benefit myself by using . . .".
