In Act 2 of Arthur Miller's play "Death of a Salesman," Happy and Biff go to a restaurant to meet Willy for lunch. They want to discuss Biff's meeting with Bill Oliver about a business proposition.
Its is about Willy Loman(a salesman of about sixty) who worked and traveled all his life and has an unsuccessful son named Biff. Biff unlike Happy, the Loman's other son , moved out west to go work on a farm instead of working as a humble salesman. Willy halucinates , has flashbacks, and talks to himself to figure out where he went wrong in raising Biff. The play takes place in Brooklyn , New York and Willy is married to Linda Loman. I would include other details but i don't want to be a spoiler.
Willy does not wish to give up on his hopes for a future and some kind of memory of himself or his existence after death. This is why he plants the seeds. He hopes that his funeral will be well attended, and that this will impress Biff. Biff sees that there are much more important qualities than popularity, which is why he will see this final act as foolish.
His homework.
In 'The Death of a Salesman,' Biff and Happy are talking about women and their dissatisfaction with their lives. Biff hates working for someone else, and Happy is stuck in his position until the person above him either dies or retires. Both dream about buying a ranch and working together.

Willy does not want to work for Charley because he values his independence and sees himself as a leader. He feels that working for Charley would undermine his sense of pride and importance. Additionally, Willy is proud and stubborn, and he struggles to accept help or charity from others.
