Pangolins are also in great demand in China because their meat is considered a delicacy and some Chinese believe pangolin scales reduce swelling, promote blood circulation and help breast-feeding women produce milk.
So they are being hunted/killed in large numbers and are badly endangered now.

People are actually the number one "predator" or consumer of pangolins since its considered a delight in Asian and sometimes African countries. though its illegal to poach or capture pangolins they have been the most trafficked animal for some time now, they are considered endangered.
