Land hermit crabs are scavengers and in the wild (caribbean) they will eat dead leaves, fallen fruits, ect.
In captivity they can eat all organic fruits and veggies, egg shells, egg yolk, egg whites, sea salted nuts, and lean (not fatty) Meats.
Do NOT buy commercial hermit crab "food". It has harmful proservitives and no REAL vitamins.
Stay away from human food like twinkies, and things with seasonings, it's harmful to the hermies.
