Owls do not have many predators. In some places, eagles sometimes kill and eat owls, and smaller kinds, or species, of owls are sometimes killed and eaten by larger types of owls. Serpents that can climb trees will eat baby owls or owl eggs if they get the chance. Many owls are apex predators, meaning that healthy adults have no natural predators in the wild. Some species, such as the burrowing owl, face predation by hawks, badgers and foxes. Adult great horned owls have no natural enemies.

There are a lot of predators in the desert and the Great Horned owl is one of them at the top of the food chain. So, with that being said, nothing eats the desert owl.
