The most basic element we have discovered is hydrogen. If you are refering to matter. If not it is mostly photons.
space was here before him scientifically but if you ask me i say it was just black space.
Space shuttles are not designed to go to other planets, they stay in a near earth orbit, orbiting earth several times in a mission before returning back to earth. They don't really go far from our planet.

the world is round, it was discovered by Christopher Columbus.:)Before that it was discovered by the ancient Greeks who measured the diameter of the earth to an accuracy of a few per cent.

the optical telescope has discovered objects on earth and in space

The space shuttle reaches 17,850 mph before leaving earth's atmosphere.

That depends where you are in space. If you are near Earth, maybe Pluto. If you are near Pluto, maybe Mercury.
Earth is defiantly not an element. Elements are in the smallest known form. Nothing like the Earth. Yes. Earth is one of the five basic elements of matter... The other four are Air, Water, Light ans Space. This theory is obsolete and not considered in modern day science.
