CAT scans and MRI scans are useful for a wide variety of medical investigations; the MRI in particular is very useful for neurological examinations, since it is otherwise very difficult to examine the brain in any detail. CAT scans can be used for all sorts of things, to investigate illness or injury in any part of the body. I had one recently for a kidney stone.

Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), positron emission tomography (PET), electroencephalography (EEG), magnetoencephalography (MEG), and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) are used to investigate brain activity.
gamma radiationIn medicine it is usually referred to as Radiology. In a broader sense, it can be called Biological Imaging and also includes Nuclear Medicine. Some of the other types of imaging technologies you may have heard about in medicine are Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultra Sonography (Ultra Sound/US), Computerized Axial Tomography (CAT Scans), Positron Emission Tomography (PET Scans), Endoscopy (camera imaging), Thermography, and Microscopy.
usually begins with blood tests to evaluate the hormone levels. These hormones include epinephrine, cortisol, and testosterone. It also includes magnetic resonance imaging, and computed tomography scans
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Brain MRI is the best structural imaging technique available. Every ATL surgical evaluation usually includes a complete MRI study. Positron emission tomography (PET)
