Veggies cooked or fresh are good, I have it and was told my my Dr. to go by this rule, and it works.."".NO WHITE FOODS"". bread, Potato's, white rice, things like that.(STARCH) turns to sugar. watch breading on meats as well, . Best bet is eat whole grain like wheat breads, brown rice, easy on beans ..remember starch is a NO NO .. eat low fat cheeses, chicken pork, beef are ok to eat... ALSo ate smaller amounts at meals and snack on Peanut Butter and wheat crackers in between meals to keep you sugar from peaking... Also fruit is good for you... Stay away from canned fruit and Veggies,
